[TRANS] MelOn’s ‘Writer Story’ w/ 이단옆차기 (Only B1A4 Parts)

*이단옆치기 is a producing team with Park Janggeun and One Way’s Chance. They produced Beautiful Target and My Love for B1A4 and multiple other songs for different artists. (I will only be translating B1A4 parts)

이단옆차기’s Best Choice:

1. “It’s War” - MBLAQ [4th Mini Album ‘100% Ver.’] / 2012

2. “Beautiful Target” - B1A4 [It B1A4] / 2011

It was a song we gave to them without thinking that it would be B1A4’s title song. Truthfully, this song is strong in character so rather than go for the mass appeal, it was a track where we were testing and trying it out. When I was watching TV, there was an African or someone else, I’m not sure which nationality they were ^^ But they pronounced ‘beautiful’ as ‘bew-ti-po’, so I got inspiration from there and made the song. And that’s why I changed the pronunciation of ‘target’ to ‘ttaget’ and made the chorus. First off, the B1A4 member are really kind so I have memories of going through recordings quite thankfully. And when I see Sandeulie, I just feel happy. When I see Jinyoungie writing a song, I truthfully get scared. He doesn’t even know chords but writes a song by just using his feel, and he does it really well that the anticipation for the songs Jinyoungie makes is large. Seems like we should work harder as well. I’m becoming tense. ^^

E.njoy: What are you currently most interested in?

A: MBLAQ, B1A4, and Dalmatian’s future. They’re our family that we love the most. Since they’re friends who believed in us, the thing I’m most worried about and at the same time most interested in is what kind of music we’ll make together and show in the future.
