B1A4, who are planning to finish their first official album’s promotions in Korea this week, showed their proud hearts by saying, “There were a lot of prejudiced thoughts about us. Jinyoung- “While doing dry rehearsals for a music broadcast, there was a part where I walk out for my part. However, when I put out a foot to go forward, it interlocked with a metallic ring accessory on my shoe and I fell down in that position and rolled around once. I should have placed my hand down when I fell, but thinking that I could just leave it alone, I didn’t go into position and just fell like that. I needed to sing, but the situation where all the singers and staff members were looking at me was honestly embarrassing. If it was before, I would have immediately gotten up and continued singing, but I remember thinking it over a bit because I was so embarrassed. I was born on 1991.06.16. I have a noona who is five years older than me.
After hearing ‘Baby I’m Sorry’ for the first time, I was honestly quite surprised. Although I knew that Jinyoung made songs prior to our debut, this song seemed like a really different feel, so I thought, ‘Jinyoungie really must have worked hard this time’. Because he’s the member that knows B1A4 the best, I think that’s why he created a song that fit with us the best.
If ‘O.K’ or ‘Beautiful Target’ expressed confessing, ‘Baby I’m Sorry’ is to express a break up. Because how the members acted was important, we recorded each other with a camera and checked each other’s expressions.
It’s a bit vague to choose the member that is a bit bad at dancing. Because we’re the type to keep trying if we’re lacking. Well, I think there is someone, but (looking at Sandeul) I can’t really pick someone out. Haha.
When I tied my hair before, it was quite a problem of it’s own. Since we needed to do intense choreography, I had to put in a lot of pins to keep my hair intact and I had to take out every single pin when I wanted to wash my hair. Because it’s much less now, I feel much more comfortable.
I was active in a band called, ‘Gapgol’, when I was in high school. ‘Gapgol’, came from a nickname of a friend that was also in the band, but we picked that because we couldn’t think of anything else, no matter how hard we tried thinking of one. We thought it was a name with an extreme and strong impact. Haha. We tried giving it a meaning later on, but we ended up saying, ‘let’s say we just thought of it’. We were doing the band because we just like music. It was when I was really full of rock spirit.
However, I didn’t think a rock band was something I had to do. Since I had an interest in dancing and singing, I carried the dream of becoming a singer as a job.
In order to trick Sandeul and Gongchan, I tried doing a hidden camera. We acted out Baro and I fighting while cursing at each other and the chairman would hear that and punish us. Sandeul came just in time and as soon as he came, he looked at us and said, “Why is the mood like this?”, and went on his knees. The chairman intentionally held a straight face and scarily said, “Reenact how you guys were fighting before!”, so Baro and I acted like we were going to curse at each other, but ended up saying, “Hey, you chipmunk”, “Hyung looks like a bear”, “You idiot”, “Hyung is even more of an idiot”. Although the situation really made no sense, Sandeul kept believing it. Euhahaha. However, Gongchan didn’t fall for it because he’s quick witted.
Whenever something scary or surprising happens, Baro immediately closes his eyes. When I see him quietly taking deep breaths and trembling, it’s really cute.
If we win 1st place on a music program, our company said that they’ll change our dorm. I think it will be good if we change our dorm because the bathroom amount increases. Since there’s only one right now, showering takes quite a bit of time. If we get one more bathroom, I think I could sleep there too. Heuheu.

I was born on 1991.11.18. I have a noona who is two years older than me.
While learning acting, I was preparing to go to a university when I was chosen. Someone posted my picture on a site and a representative from the company saw it and contacted me. When I went to the company, there was a somewhat warm and trustworthy feeling, so I liked it. Hahah. I showed the acting that I prepared for university, and sang Lee Juk senior’s ‘It’s Fortunate’.
When I colored my hair red with a spray, bright red water would pour out when I showered, like blood. And if I broke a sweat during rehearsals or pre-recordings, red water would drip down my face. Whenever that would happen, I would think that the color is quite pretty, but things like this are drawbacks. (Baro: When we recorded at a swimming pool, I was really shocked. I was washing my hair together with hyung when red water kept flowing, so I thought blood was coming from my body…)
I didn’t think that ‘Baby I’m Sorry’, which I personally made, would become the title song. I just let them listen to it after saying, “I made a song like this”, but the members’ reactions were really good. And then it became the title song.
When directing a song, I take quite a bit of time. (Sandeul: Once you go in, you can never come out. / Baro: Huh? I come out immediately though?) Although I could just pass it by, I try to record while checking each part accurately for good quality. Everyone generally finishes quickly, but Sandeul is a bit…. Hahahaha. Since he has a lot of parts and it’s hard, I think it naturally takes a bit more time. But he quickly follows well and does well.
Long time ago, I used to occasionally make snacks for the members. Things that I’m most confident in such as Aglio Olio or a pork and kimchi duruchigi. There were many times when I tried out new dishes as well. I used the members as test subjects, but I succeeded with all of them anyways.
I am the expert at acting like a patient. During the welcoming hidden camera event for CNU, I naturally fainted after saying, “My heart really hurts.” And then I kept pleading Baro to hurry up and get me medicine. “Sunwoo-yah! You know that thing I always eat. Chocolate milk!” Like that. It was total method acting. Heuheu. Since we all often do small hidden camera events with each other, we need to be careful even when coming back from the bathroom. When one member disappears, something is always planned.
If we get 1st place on a music program, we said that we would create a human hamburger on stage. We plan to pick the person who gets crushed at the bottom through a game at that time.
At a bathhouse, Sandeul goes into re~ally hot water as if it’s nothing. That’s why if we follow him in, thinking that it’s okay, we get harmed a lot because it’s too hot. There’s even a time when I tested it out. While thinking, ‘let’s see how long you can last in there’, I fully turned on the hot water, but he seemed okay. (Sandeul: The shower in our dorm cannot make me hot.)

I was born on 1993.08.14. I have a younger brother who is in his 2nd year of middle school. When my younger brother sees me on TV, I think he feels unfamiliar with it. Since I’m the eldest son in my family, I was always harsh to my younger brother, but I would be showing cute acts on TV…. Haha. When my friends see that, they told me that they say, ‘Is he the same kid I know?’. Because I was on the quiet side at school.
In the ‘Baby I’m Sorry’ music video, I tried back hugging for the first time. I pretended that the actress in front of me was really my girlfriend for just this moment and concentrated. Hahahaha. (Baro: Because he did really well, we were all admiring him. Stuff like that is something that comes from experience though….)
Although being a singer was my dream ever since I was younger, I didn’t have a lot of chances to audition because I lived in the countryside. But one day, my friend uploaded my picture on an internet site and a representative from the company saw my picture and contacted me, asking if I wanted to audition. The picture is… one that I personally took. Heuheu. I was never the neighborhood ulzzang or anything.
I really don’t know if my face is good looking. Because my friends in Soonchun just passingly said, ‘Hey, you’re quite good looking’, I thought it was a joke. Although I went to a co-ed school, there wasn’t really anything where girls would tell me I was good looking or liked me. (CNU: I saw Gongchan for the first time at a crosswalk, but there was a shine coming from him. Really, not lying at all.)
When I play rock-paper-scissors with the hyungs, I don’t lose easily. I know all~ of the hyungs’ patterns. CNU hyung chooses what’s expected, but I put something different out and it misses sometimes. Sandeul hyung’s pattern is the easiest. The one that hyung chooses most often is probably, scissors? When we play the mafia game, it’s quite funny to see him say that he’s not the mafia when I know that Sandeul hyung is. So I purposely pretend to be tricked too. (Sandeul: Eyah~ You were continuously playing with me?)
Sandeul hyung doesn’t know any soccer players. So there was a soccer game playing one day, but he kept telling me, “Gongchan-ah, Ronelldo is really good! Ronelldo is the best!” I later found out that he was saying Ronaldo [T/N: Pronounced as Honaldu in Korean]. Hahahahah. (Sandeul: No wonder why no one knew.)
As soon as I go on a scary amusement park ride, I go into a thinking session. I calmly close my eyes and sit and eum….. When my body falls, the wind blows and my heart feels like it’s going back like thi~s. Like my heart is following behind me… It’s really scary.
After seeing CNU hyung drive, I gained a want to get my driver’s license. When we went to CNU hyung’s house a long time ago as an MT with all the members, there was a time when we went to buy snacks. Because hyung had his driver’s license, he sat me next to him and started driving, but it was breally good. Wow~ He even drives! A feeling like that. Hehe. And he reverses the car like you see on TV. Since I became an adult this year, I will make sure to get my driver’s license. If you’re a man, you need to get a commercial license! (Jinyoung: I got a personal license.
